Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for scholarship funding, applicants must:
Live OR work in the City and/or County of Denver
Remote work for a Denver-based organization is accepted
Be currently employed
Have an established employment history in an industry or occupational group for a minimum of six months
Attest to negative economic impact as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic including, but not limited to:
Income/wage loss, including changes in schedule or hours
Loss of historically expected wage increase/raise
Job loss or forced job change
Inability to access continuing education or training
Membership in an impacted or disproportionately impacted class as defined by state guidance.

Eligible programs are listed below. Scholarship funds are limited to programs that start and end within a certain timeline and eligible start dates are also listed.

All eligible programs are offered fully online. Program format varies - some are self-paced, some are live online, and some have a combination of both modalities. Please consult the information for the specific program(s) you are interested in to learn more about the format and attendance requirements.
Application information will be used by University of Denver, Denver Economic Development and Opportunity (DEDO), and/or the University’s curricular partners for the purposes of determining scholarship eligibility, supporting program enrollment, and reporting program outcomes to our funding partner. Program supports vary by program and may include 1:1 coaching or career support, access to career development modules, or instructor office hours. All students are supported by the high-touch team at the Center for Professional Development. If you have any questions about specific offerings, please consult the pages for the program(s) you are interested in to learn more.
All eligible programs are non-credit. Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Project Management, Product Management, Salesforce Administration, and AI Prompting carry University of Denver transcripted Continuing Education Units (CEUs) which may be accepted as prior learning credit at a variety of institutions. It is the responsibility of the learner to understand how CEUs may be interpreted for degree progression, and the Center for Professional Development does not guarantee any academic credit equivalent for these courses at University of Denver or any other institution.
No. Applicants do not need to be enrolled at DU to be awarded a scholarship. If awarded, the Center for Professional Development team will support you in the next steps of your program enrollment, which vary by program and may include a program-specific application/information form.

No. Students awarded scholarships will incur no up-front tuition costs to enroll in the program.
